Pine Center Trails

The Pine Center Trails, located in central Minnesota, are one of Minnesota’s first Grant‑In‑Aid trail systems and continues to be a valued riding destination today.

The trail system offers approximately 23 miles of ATV trails made up of a North Loop and a South Loop, each with its own trailhead. The loops can be ridden independently or connected by an easy ATV route along the roadway.

Riders of all skill levels will enjoy the mix of smooth, scenic riding, rocky terrain, rolling hills, and water obstacles. Winding wooded trails pass through large stands of oak and maple, providing excellent opportunities for wildlife viewing.

The trail systems feature portable restrooms as well as several picnic areas perfect for taking a break.

From the Pine Center trailhead, riders can also connect to extended routes leading to the Brainerd area, including the Fort Ripley Trail and Camp Ripley Connection. The trails are maintained by the Pine Center Sportsmen’s Club, with funding provided through the Minnesota Trail Assistance Program, grants, fundraising efforts, and generous donations.

Many of our trails exist thanks to the generosity of private landowners. To ensure these sections remain open to the public, please treat their property with respect. Remember to pack out all trash, stay within marked boundaries, and obey speed limits.

Trail Maintenance

The Pine Center Trails are proudly maintained by volunteers from the Pine Center Sportsmen’s Club. Our members work hard to keep the trails safe, enjoyable, and accessible for everyone. Trail work is completed during planned monthly maintenance days and through short‑notice storm cleanup when needed.

Trail maintenance can be simple and rewarding. Opportunities to help include:

  • Cleaning up litter

  • Trail signing and marking

  • Drainage and erosion control

  • Brush cutting and vegetation management

  • Safety and hazard removal

  • Assisting with trail expansion and development

Funding for trail maintenance comes from a combination of the Minnesota Grant‑In‑Aid Program, club fundraising events, and generous donations.

Current Fundraising Effort

We are currently raising funds to purchase a tractor with a loader. This equipment will help us better maintain safe trail conditions and support future trail enhancements.
